TACR3 otherwise known as NK3 Receptor (NK3R), is a 52.2kD multi-pass membrane protein belonging to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family.
TACR3 is a receptor for the tachykinin neuropeptide, neuromedin-k otherwise known as neurokinin B and is highly expressed in the supraoptic and paraventricular nuclei.
Following binding of its ligand, NK3R activates a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system, and it is likely that these signals lead to the release of vasopressin and oxytocin into the circulation.
Studies with mice indicate that TACR3 is involved in learning and memory.
Applications:Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry (paraffin) and Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 5ug/mlWestern Blot: 0.5-1ug/mlOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks.
For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt.
Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Note: Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
