Parathyroid hormone related peptide (PTHrP), is a ubiquitously produced neuroendocrine polypeptide hormone, which signals through Parathyroid Hormone Receptor 1 (PTHR1), and acts as a critical regulator of cellular and tissue development, cell differentiation and migration, calcium and phosphorous extracellular concentrations, bone, teeth, and mammary gland development, and epithelial calcium ion transport.
Studies have shown the involvement of PTHrP during the metastasis of colon cancer cells, identifying a positive correlation between PTHrP, Rac1 activity, the guanine nucleotide exchange factor Tiam1, and integrin alpha6beta4.
Elevated expression of PTHrP is most commonly associated with breast cancer, and also with gastrointestinal (GI) tumors.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:ELISA: 0.5-2.0ug/mlWestern Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/mlOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C.
Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C.
Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
