MaxLight™750 is a new Near IR stable dye conjugate comparable to DyLight™750, Alexa Fluor™700 and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection.
Histone H4 is one of the 5 main histone proteins involved in the structure of chromatin in eukaryotic cells.
Featuring a main globular domain and a long N terminal tail H4 is involved with the structure of the nucleosomes of the 'beads on a string' structure.
The N-terminal tail of histone H4 protrudes from the globular nucleosome core and can undergo several different types of epigenetic modifications that influence cellular processes.
These modifications include the covalent attachment of methyl or acetyl groups to lysine and arginine amino acids and the phosphorylation of serine or threonine.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot, Dot Blot and Chromatin Immunoprecipitation.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions:Western Blot:2ug/ml detected methylated histone H4 in acid extracted proteins from 10ug HeLa cells, but not demethylated recombinant Histone H4
Chromatin Immunoprecipitation: Has been reported to immunoprecipitate chromatin containing trimethylhistone H4 (Lys20)
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C in the dark.
DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid.
Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Caution: MaxLight™750 conjugates are sensitive to light.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
