MaxLight™650 is a new Far-IR stable dye conjugate comparable to Alexa Fluor™647, DyLight™649, Cy5™ and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection.
Rac is a member of the Rho family of small GTP-binding proteins.
It plays roles in cytoskeletal actin organization as well as transformation along with its other Rho family members.
Rac, Rho, and Cdc42 all work in concert with one another in the assembly of actin-based structures such as lamellipodia, stress fibers, and filopodia, respectively to control cell migration.
Rac is activated downstream of cdc42, or independently by Ras signaling, and in turn Rac stimulates Rho.
Effectors of the Rac pathway include NADPH Oxidase and the SAPK1/JNK family of kinases.
The latter pathway is activated by the PAK kinases, which are direct targets of Rac.
Rac1b is a highly active splice varient of Rac1.
It differs in that it has an additional 19aa.
It has been found in various tumors such as breasts and colorectal.
