MaxLight™550 is a new Yellow-Green photostable dye conjugate comparable to Alexa Fluor™546, 555, DyLight™549 , Cy3™, TRITC and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection.
Brain and muscle Arnt-like protein-1 (BMAL1; also known as MOP3 or Arnt3) is a transcription factor known to regulate circadian rhythm.
BMAL1 is the only component of the mammalian circadian clock whose sole deletion in a mouse model generates arrhythmicity.
In addition to defects in the clock, these BMAL1 null-mice also have reproductive problems, are small in stature, age quickly and have progressive arthropathy that results in having less overall locomotor activity than wild type mice.
Recent phenotyping data suggests that BMAL1 and its partner Clock also play a role in regulation of glucose homeostasis and metabolism.
Finally, BMAL1, NPAS2, and PER2 have been associated with seasonal affective disorder in humans.
BMAL1 transcription is circadian and reciprocally regulated by NR1D1 (Rev-erb¬alpha) and RORA, which establishes a second interlocking loop in the mammalian circadian clock.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot.

Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1:1000Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Positive Control:Transfected HEK293/myc-BMAL1/empty vector and HEK293/myc-BMAL1/myc-CLOCK treated with Nicotinamide.
Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C in the dark.
DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid.
Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Caution: MaxLight™550 conjugates are sensitive to light.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
