• MaxLight™490 is a new Blue-Green photostable dye conjugate comparable to DyLight™488, Alexa Fluor™488 and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection.
• Absorbance (491nm); Emission (515nm); Extinction Coefficient 73,000.
• Beta Defensin-3 is a novel 5-9kD nonhemolytic antimicrobial protein peptide which may be important in the innate epithelial defense of infections by various microorganisms seen in skin and lung (such as cystic fibrosis).
• Applications:Suitable for use Western Blot.
• Other applications not tested.
• Recommended Dilution:Western Blot:Tricine-SDS-PAGE gels: 1:500-1:1000.
• Migrates as a 5-6kD band
• Tricine-SDS-urea PAGE gels: Native Beta Defensin 3 migrates as a 9kD band.
• The larger size is because of the reduction of the three cysteine bridges present in the peptide protein
• Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
• For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%).
• Freeze at -20°C.
• Aliquots are stable for 12 months at -20°C.
• For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
• Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
• Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
