Neurexins are heavily glycosylated and processed neuronal transmembrane cell surface proteins likely involved in cell recognition and adhesion.
Antibody Anti-Neurexin-1-alpha was made against a peptide immunogen corresponding to a stretch of aa’s in the extracellular domain of human Neurexin-1-alpha.
Although the theoretical full length of Neurexin-1-alpha is 161kD, the protein detected in human brain lysates may show a band around 160kD and additional bands around 45kD as a possible result of the posttranslational processing previously reported.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.

Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 0.1ug/mlImmunohistochemistry: 1:100Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Positive Control:Human cerebellum tissue lysate
Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks.
For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt.
Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Note: Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
