ERM (Ezrin-Radixin-Moesin) proteins function as plasma membrane-actin cytoskeleton linkers and participate in the formation of specialized domains of the plasma membrane.
One function of ezrin is in determining survival of epithelia cells by activating the P1-3-kinase/Akt pathway.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 0.1-1ug/ml detected Ezrin in RIPA lysates from A431 cells and a mourine brain lysate
Immunohistochemistry: 10ug/ul detects Ezrin in paraffin embedded human skin tissue sections.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Positive Control Included:A0001-50: A431 Cell Lysate, Non-Stimulated.
Add 2.5ul of 2-mercaptoethanol/100ul of lysate and boil for 5 minutes to reduce the preparation.
Load 20ug of reduced lysate per lane for minigels.
Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks.
For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt.
Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Note: Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
