The lymphocyte-specific protein tyrosine kinase Lck is a member of the src family of nonreceptor tyrosine kinases.
Abundant expression of Lck in normal and transformed T-cells, as well as in lymphoid tissue, suggests that Lck plays a role in lymphoid cell growth and differentiation.
Furthermore, Lck is associated with interleukin receptors and is involved during Epstein-Barr virus infection leading to lymphocyte immortalization.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 0.5–2ug/ml detected Lck in RIPA lysates from Jurkat cells.
Immunoprecipitation: 4ug immunoprecipitated Lck from 1ug of Jurkat RIPA lysate as confirmed by subsequent immunoblot using monoclonal anti-Lck.
Immunoblot Analysis Jurkat cell lysate was resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to nitrocellulose and probed with anti-Lck (1ug/ml).
Proteins were visualized using a goat anti rabbit secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and a chemiluminescence detection system.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks.
For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt.
Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
