Tbr1 gene is a member of a conserved family of genes that share a common DNA-binding domain, the T-box.
T-box genes encode transcription factors involved in the regulation of developmental processes.
Tbr1, a putative transcription factor known to be expressed in post-mitotic neurons, has been found highly expressed in glutamatergic early-born cortical neurons.
A similar protein has been disrupted in mice and shown to be critical for early cortical development, and causes loss of projection neurons in the olfactory bulbs and olfactory cortex.
The C-terminal region of the Tbr1 derived protein was found to be necessary and sufficient for association with the guanylate kinase domain of calcium/calmodulin-dependent serine protein kinase.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 0.025ug/ml detected TBR1 in 10ug of human fetal brain tissue lysate.
Human fetal brain tissue lysate was resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to PVDF membranes and probed with T1848-23.
Proteins were visualized using a IgY (HRP) Rabbit x Ch* and a chemiluminescence detection system
Immunohistochemistry: 1:100 detected TRB1 in mouse frontal cortex tissue
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks.
For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt.
Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
