• Ras-GTPase-activating protein SH3-domain-binding protein; GAP binding protein; RasGAP-associated endoribonuclease G3BP: This protein is one of the DNA-unwinding enzymes which prefers partially unwound 3'-tailed substrates and can also unwind partial RNA/DNA and RNA/RNA duplexes in an ATP-dependent fashion.
• This enzyme is a member of the heterogeneous nuclear RNA-binding proteins and is also an element of the Ras signal transduction pathway.
• It binds specifically to the Ras-GTPase-activating protein by associating with its SH3 domain.
• Several alternatively spliced transcript variants of this gene have been described, but the full-length nature of some of these variants has not been determined.
• Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation.
• Other applications not tested
• Recommended Dilutions:Western Blot: Detects GAP protein in a RIPA lysate of human Raji lymphocyte cells, rat L6 myoblasts lysate and mouse Wehi leukemia cell lysate.
• Immunoprecipitation: Immunoprecipitates GAP protein in a RIPA lysate of human Raji lymphocyte cells
• Optimal dilutions to be determined by researcher.

• Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C.
• Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C.
• Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O.
• Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
• Store at -20°C.
• Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C.
• For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
• Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
• Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
