• SETD8 (hPR-SET7) is a histone methyltransferase that adds a single methyl group to 'Lys-20' of histone H4.
• H4 'Lys-20' methylation represents a specific tag for epigenetic transcriptional repression.
• SETD8 (hPR-SET7) is located in the nucleus and may play a role in maintaining silent chromatin by preventing neighboring acetylation of H4 tail.
• Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunocytochemistry.
• Other applications not tested.
• Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1:1000Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Positive Control:HeLa nuclear extract.
• Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C.
• DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid.
• Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
