Glycine receptor a3 subunit, also known as GLRA3, belongs to the ligand-gated ion channel family.
Glycine functions as a inhibitory neurotransmitter throughout the CNS of mammals.
The Glycine receptor is a neurotransmitter ligand-gated ion channel.
GLRA3 is a pentamer that is composed of ligand binding alpha and structural beta subunits.
When glycine binds to the receptor, chloride conductance increases which produces hyperpolarization.
It is expressed in the hippocampus, olfactory bulb, and cerebellum.
GLRA3 may be involved in human and murine neurological disorders.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions:Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): HIER using sodium citrate buffer pH 6.0Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C.
DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid.
Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
