• Calcineurin/PP2B Aβ, also known as Serine/threonine-protein phosphatase 2B catalytic subunit beta isoform, and encoded by the gene PPP3CB/CALNA2/CALNB/CNA2, is a calcium dependent, calmodulin stimulated catalytic subunit protein phosphatase critical in the function of Calcineurin an important phosphatase governing immune responses such as T cell activation and the T cell immune response.
• Calcineurin is a heterodimeric protein consisting of a catalytic subunit Calcineurin A, which contains an active site dinuclear metal center, and a tightly associated, myristoylated, Ca(2+)-binding subunit, Calcineurin B.
• Calcineurin/PP2B Aβ is the beta isoform of the catalytic active site of the subunit A of Calcineurin.
• Calcineurin also plays pivotal roles in signaling transduction cascades in a variety of other immune cells as well as non-immune cells like myocytes and neurons.
• Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation.
• Other applications not tested.
• Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: detects Calcineurin A/PP2B catalytic unit in 10ug of human brain tissue lysate
• Immunoprecipitation: immunoprecipitated Calcineurin A/PP2B catalytic unit in 500ug of mouse brain tissue lysate
• Optimal dilution to be determined by researcher
• Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C.
• DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid.
• Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
• Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
• For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
• Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
