RSV is so named from the formation of syncytia, or multinucleated masses of fused cells.
Two virally specified surface glycoproteins are prominent in RSV.
The large glycoprotein is designated G and the other fusion protein is designated F.
In addition, two distinct groups may be present in RSV, Group A and/or Group B.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunohistochemistry and Fusion inhibition.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions:Fusion inhibition: >1:256Immunohistochemistry: Paraffin sectionsOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C.
DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid.
Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
