• Insulin Like Growth Factor-I (IGF-I) is a polypeptide growth factor which stimulates the proliferation of a wide range of cell types including muscle, bone, and cartilage tissue.
• Recombinant Human IGF-I is a single, nonglycosylated, 7.6kD protein containing 70 amino acid residues.
• Insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-I) is involved in regulation of neuronal growth and development in central and peripheral nervous system.
• It is known to protect neurons against cell death induced by amyloidogenic derivatives, glucose or serum deprivation through pathways involving AKT kinase and transcription factor FKHRL1 phosphorylation.
• Activation of the insulin-like growth factor system has emerged as a key factor for tumor progression and resistance to apoptosis in many cancers like breast and thyroid cancers.
• Applications:Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, Neutralization, FLISA and Western Blot.
• Other applications have not been tested.
• Recommended Dilutions: Immunohistochemistry: Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded sectionsOptimal dilutions to be detemined by the researcher.
• Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C in the dark.
• DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid.
• Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
• Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
• Caution: MaxLight™750 conjugates are sensitive to light.
• For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
• Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
