• CRH is a 41-amino acid peptide synthesized in the hypothalamus that is the principal neuroregulator of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenocortical axis and plays an important role in coordinating the endocrine, autonomic, and behavioral responses to stress and immune challenge.
