MaxLight™550 is a new Yellow-Green photostable dye conjugate comparable to Alexa Fluor™546, 555, DyLight™549 , Cy3™, TRITC and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection.
GAK, a member of the Ser/Thr protein kinase family, associates with cyclin G and CDK5.
It appears to act as an auxilin homolog that is involved in the uncoating of clathrin-coated vesicles by Hsc70 in non-neuronal cells.
Expression oscillates slightly during the cell cycle, peaking at G1.
GAK localizes to the perinuclear area and to the trans-Golgi network.
It is also observed on the plasma membrane, probably at focals adhesions.
Expression is ubiquitous, wiht highest levels in testis.
The protein contains 1 J domain and 1 tensin domain.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.

Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C in the dark.
DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid.
Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Caution: MaxLight™550 conjugates are sensitive to light.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
