• MaxLight™550 is a new Yellow-Green photostable dye conjugate comparable to Alexa Fluor™546, 555, DyLight™549 , Cy3™, TRITC and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection.
• Absorbance (550nm); Emission (575nm); Extinction Coefficient 150,000.
• This gene encodes an integral membrane protein that transports the neurotransmitter serotonin from synaptic spaces into presynaptic neurons.
• The encoded protein terminates the action of serotonin and recycles it in a sodium-dependent manner.
• This protein is a target of psychomotor stimulants, such as amphetamines and cocaine, and is a member of the sodium:neurotransmitter symporter family.
• A repeat length polymorphism in the promoter of this gene has been shown to affect the rate of serotonin uptake and may play a role in sudden infant death syndrome, aggressive behavior in Alzheimer disease patients, and depression-susceptibility in people experiencing emotional trauma.
• Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot.
• Other applications not tested.
• Recommended Dilutions:Western Blot (Tissue lysate): 1:500-1:1000.
• A specific band of ~75kD was detected using mouse lung lysate
• Western Blot (Transfected lysate): 1:1000-1:2000.
• A specific band of ~70.3kD was detected using SLC6A4 transfectged 293T lysate
• Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C in the dark.
• DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid.
• Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
• Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
• Caution: MaxLight™550 conjugates are sensitive to light.
• For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. 
• Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
