• MaxLight™405 is a new Violet photostable dye conjugate comparable to Alexa Fluor® 405, PacificBlue™, Brilliant™ Violet 421 and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection.
• Absorbance (400nm); Emission (423nm); Extinction Coefficient 32,000.
• The galectins are a family of beta-galactoside-binding proteins implicated in modulating cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions.
• LGALS3BP has been found elevated in the serum of patients with cancer and in those infected by the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).
• It appears to be implicated in immune response associated with natural killer (NK) and lymphokine-activated killer (LAK) cell cytotoxicity.
• Using fluorescence in situ hybridization the full length 90K cDNA has been localized to chromosome 17q25.
• The native protein binds specifically to a human macrophage-associated lectin known as Mac-2 and also binds galectin 1.
• Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot, FLISA and Immunohistochemistry.
• Other applications have not been tested.
• Recommended Dilutions:Immunohistochemistry: Paraffin sections.
• Heat induced antigen retrieval with EDTA Buffer, pH 9.0 is recommended
• Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C in the dark.
• DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid.
• Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
• Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
• Caution: MaxLight™405 conjugates are sensitive to light.
• For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
• Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
