LOXL2 is a member of the lysyl oxidase gene family.
This family of extracellular, copper dependent enzymes participates in the post-translational modification essential to the biogenesis of connective tissue by deaminating the side chains of lysine residues in collagen and elastin.
This results in the covalent cross-linking of fibrillar collagen and the formation of desmosine and isodesmosine cross-links in elastin.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
Antigen retrieval using heat mediated 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 or Tris-EDTA buffer, pH 8.0 is recommended Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
