特徴

• 5-HT2C, a Serotonin Receptor previously termed 5-HT1C, activates phospholipase C, resulting in a transient increase in intracellular calcium and activation of protein kinase C.
• Mutant mice lacking functional 5-HT2C receptor are overweight due to abnormal feeding behavior and are prone to epileptic seizures.
• Therefore, agonists of the 5-HT2C receptor such as m-chlorophenylpiperazine (mCPP) may be potential drugs for the treatment of obesity.
• Applications:Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
• Other applications not tested.
• Recommended Dilutions:Immunofluorescence: 1:50-1:200Western Blot: 1:500-1:1000Immunohistochemistry(Paraffin): 5ug/ml.
• Heat induced antigen retrieval in citrate buffer, pH 6.0 is required.
• Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
• Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
• Store at -20°C.
• Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
• For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
