• MGMT is involved in the cellular defense against the biological effects of O6-methylguanine (O6-MeG) in DNA.
• This protein repairs alkylated guanine in DNA by stoichiometrically transferring the alkyl group at the O-6 position to a cysteine residue in the enzyme.
• This is a suicide reaction: the protein is irreversibly inactivated.
• Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot.
• Other applications not tested.

• Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks.
• For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C.
• Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt.
