SC1 is a extracellular matrix glycoprotein playing an important role in neural developmental processes like axon guidance and synaptogenesis.
Higher resolution analysis using electron microscopy indicated that SC1 localizes to synapses.
SC1 was also detected in perisynaptic glial processes that envelop synapses.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.
