Regulatory subunit of the calcium activated potassium KCNMA1 (maxiK) channel.
Modulates the calcium sensitivity and gating kinetics of KCNMA1, thereby contributing to KCNMA1 channel diversity.
Decreases the gating kinetics and calcium sensitivity of the KCNMA1 channel, but with fast deactivation kinetics.
May decrease KCNMA1 channel openings at low calcium concentrations but increases channel openings at high calcium concentrations.
Makes KCNMA1 channel resistant to 100 nM charybdotoxin (CTX) toxin concentrations.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.

Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks.
For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt.
Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
