Interleukin-15 is a potent immunoregulatory cytokine produced by a variety of cell types including monocytes, epithelial cells and fibroblasts.
IL-15 shares many of its biological properties with IL-2 including T, B and NK cell stimulation and has also been demonstrated to promote division of CD8 memory cells and activate IL4 production in bone marrow-derived mast cells.
