DGK-a is an 80kD, 735aa, type I member of the eukaryocytic diacylglycerol kinase family of enzymes, possessing EF-hand, C1/Cys-rich zinc finger and catalytic domains.
In T cells, IL-2 stimulates its translocation to the nucleus, promoting proliferation.
TCR stimulation, however, promotes migration to the plasma membrane to downregulate RAS activation and maintain anergy.
It also participates in VEGF or HGF-mediated motility in endothelial, epithelial, or cancer cells.
Over aa1-162, which includes the first of two EF-hand motifs, human DGK-a shares 75aa identity with mouse and rat DGK-a.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.

Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks.
For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt.
Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
