Probable serine carboxypeptidase CPVL is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the CPVL gene.
The protein encoded by this gene is a carboxypeptidase and bears strong sequence similarity to serine carboxypeptidases.
Carboxypeptidases are a large class of proteases that act to cleave a single amino acid from the carboxy termini of proteins or peptides.
The exact function of this protein, however, has not been determined.
At least two alternatively spliced transcripts which encode the same protein have been observed.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot.

Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks.
For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt.
Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
