ALDH16A1 is a member of the aldehyde dehydrogenase superfamily.
The family members act on aldehyde substrates and use nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADP) as a cofactor.
This protein is conserved in chimpanzee, dog, cow, mouse, rat, and zebrafish.
The protein encoded by this gene interacts with maspardin, a protein that when truncated is responsible for Mast syndrome.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot.

Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks.
For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt.
Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
