The multifunctional Ca2+/ calmodulin dependent protein kinase II also known as Calium/calmodulin Kinase (CaMK II) is a well known effector of calcium and calmodulin- mediated functions.
It is present in many tissue but it is abundant in brain.CaMKII also required for synaptic plasticity such as Long Term Potentiation (LTP), a cellular model for learning and memory.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot.
