特徴
- This gene encodes a lung surfactant protein that is a member of a subfamily of C-type lectins called collectins.
- The encoded protein binds specific carbohydrate moieties found on lipids and on the surface of microorganisms.
- This protein plays an essential role in surfactant homeostasis and in the defense against respiratory pathogens.
- Mutations in this gene are associated with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
- Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
- Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry.
- Other applications not tested.
- Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1:500-1:2000Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-1:200Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
- Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
- Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
- Store at -20°C.
- Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
