GDF 9 is a member of the bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) family and the TGF-beta superfamily.
This group of proteins is characterized by a polybasic proteolytic processing site which is cleaved to produce a mature protein containing seven conserved cysteine residues.
The members of this family are regulators of cell growth and differentiation in both embryonic and adult tissues.
Growth factors synthesized by ovarian somatic cells directly affect oocyte growth and function.
GDF 9 is expressed in oocytes and is thought to be required for ovarian folliculogenesis.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1:500-1:1000Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-1:200Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
