Thy1 is a GPI-anchored, developmentally regulated protein involved in various signaling cascades that mediate neurite outgrowth, T cell activation, tumor suppression, apoptosis, and fibrosis.
It is highly expressed on the surface of adult neurons and is thought to play a role in modulating adhesive and migratory events, such as neurite extension.
Decreased Thy1 expression is associated with the development of epithelial ovarian cancer, revealing its role as a putative tumor suppressor gene of human ovarian cancer.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.

Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1:500-1:2000Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-1:200Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
