特徴
- beta-Catenin is a key downstream effector in the Wnt signaling pathway.
- It is implicated in two major biological processes in vertebrates: early embryonic development and tumorigenesis.
- CK1 phosphorylates beta-catenin at Ser45.
- This phosphorylation event primes beta-catenin for subsequent phosphorylation by GSK-3beta.
- GSK-3beta destabilizes beta-catenin by phosphorylating it at Ser33, Ser37, and Thr41.
- Mutations at these sites result in the stabilization of beta-catenin protein levels and have been found in many tumor cell lines.
- Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry.
- Other applications not tested.
- Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1:500-1:2000Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-1:200Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
- Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
- Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
- Store at -20°C.
- Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
- For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
