Growth factor active in angiogenesis, and endothelial cell growth, stimulating their proliferation and migration and also has effects on the permeability of blood vessels.
May function in angiogenesis of the venous and lymphatic vascular systems during embryogenesis, and also in the maintenance of differentiated lymphatic endothelium in adults.
Binds and activates VEGFR-2 (KDR/FLK1) and VEGFR-3 (FLT4) receptors.
Applications:Suitable for use in Neutralization of VEGF-C induced VEGFR3.
Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilutions:Neutralization: Mouse skin endothelial cells (SENDs) were treated with or without rat VEGF-C (50ng/ml) in the absence or presence of 5 or 20ug/ml antibody 217081 for 30 minutess and the phospho-VEGFR3 was detected with IP-Western for pTyrosine.
The conditions described here are for reference only.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
