Whole IgG antibodies are isolated as intact molecules from antisera by immunoaffinity chromatography.
They have an Fc portion and two antigen binding Fab portions joined together by disulfide bonds and therefore they are divalent.
The average molecular weight is reported to be about 160kD.
The whole IgG form of antibodies is suitable for the majority of immunodetection procedures and is the most cost effective.
Applications:Suitable for use in Immunoelectrophoresis, Immunocytochemistry, Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Immunohistochemistry(IC): 1:20-1:40Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C.
For long-term storage, aliquot and store at 4°C.
Do not freeze.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Gold conjugates are light sensitive.

Source Antibody:rat
Grade:Affinity Purified
Purity:Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Form:Supplied as a liquid in 0.01M Sodium Borate-Sodium Phosphate, 0.15M sodium chloride, pH 8.5, 15mg/ml BSA (IgG-Free, Protease-Free), 0.05% sodium azide.
Specificity:Recognizes whole molecule rat IgG. Reacts with the light chains of other rat immunoglobulins. No antibody was detected against non-immunoglobulin serum proteins. Minimal cross-reactivity with human, bovine, equine, mouse and rabbit serum proteins, but it may cross-react with immunoglobulins from other species.
