ABCC2, the second member of the ATP-binding cassette, subfamily C, also known as Canalicular multispecific organic anion transporter (CMOAT) or Multidrug resistance-associated protein 2 (MRP2), belongs to the multidrug resistance protein family.
It plays a role in organic anions transport, including transport of several medical compounds, and may contribute to the drug resistance.
