This enzyme is a thiol protease that recognizes and hydrolyzes a peptide bond at the C-terminal glycine of ubiquitin.
The enzyme also binds to free monoubiquitin and may prevent its degradation in lysosomes (ref: SWISSPROT).
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunocytochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1:5000-1:10,000, detects ~24kD UCHL1 enzymeImmunocytochemistry: 1:500-1:1000Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Positive Control:Rat spinal cord or peripheral nerve homogenate
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C.
Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
