Sonic Hedgehog protein (SHH) is essential for a variety of patterning events during embryo development.
SHH is expressed in fetal intestine, liver, lung, and kidney.
The SHH precursor protein is autocatalytically cleaved into two products.
The C-terminal portion is involved in the proteolysis of the precursor and cholesterol transferase activity.
The N-terminal portion contains signalling activity.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1-2ug/mlImmunohistochemistry (formalin fixed/paraffin embedded tissues): 1-2ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C.
Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C.
Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
