Tyrosine-protein phosphatase non-receptor type 11 (SHP2) plays a regulatory role in various cell signaling events such as mitogenic activation, metabolic control, transcription regulation and cell migration.
SHP2 is highly expressed in the cytoplasm of heart, brain and skeletal muscle tissue.
3 isoforms of SHP2 are produced by alternative splicing.
