- Presenilin-1 (PSEN1) is a multi-pass membrane protein and component of the gamma-secretase complex.
- PSEN1 is thought to play a role in intracellular signaling and gene expression or in linking chromatin to the nuclear membrane.
- It may also play a role in hematopoiesis.
- Defects in PSEN1 are a cause of Alzheimer disease type 3 (AD3), a familial early-onset form of Alzheimer disease (Ref:SWISS-Prot).
- Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot.
- Other applications not tested.
- Recommended Dilution:ELISA: 1:1,000-1:4000Western Blot: 1:1000-1:4000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
- Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
- Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
- Store at -20°C.
- Aliquots are stable for 12 months.
- For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
