Leptin is secreted by white adipocytes and functions as part of a signaling pathway that can inhibit food intake and/or regulate energy expenditure to maintain constancy of the adipose mass.
Leptin has a variety of other roles including endocrine functions, regulation of immune and inflammatory responses, hematopoiesis, angiogenesis and wound healing (Ref Entrez Gene).
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot.

Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
