- Cytokeratin 8 is a type II keratin and a member of intermediate filament family of proteins.
- Cytokeratin 8 typically forms a heterotetramer with Cytokeratin 18 to form an intermediate filament in simple single-layered epithelial cells.
- Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
- Other applications not tested.
- Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1ug/mlImmunohistochemistry (formalin fixed/paraffin embedded tissues): 2ug/ml.
- Heat mediated antigen retrieval required.
- Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
- Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C.
- Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C.
- Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O.
- Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
- Store at -20°C.
- Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C.
- For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
- Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
