• Cyclooxygenase (COX) is an important enzyme in the conversion of arachidonic acid to Prostaglandin H2, the precursor of the series-2 prostanoids.
• 3 splice variants have been found; COX-1, COX-2 and COX-3.
• COX-2 is induced by cytokines and mitogens and is thought to play a role in inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis.
• Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
• Other applications not tested.
• Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1ug/mlImmunohistochemistry (formalin fixed/paraffin embedded tissues): 1-2ug/ml.
• Heat activated antigen retrieval required.
• Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C.
• Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C.
• Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O.
• Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
• Store at -20°C.
• Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C.
• For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
