Tumor protein p63, otherwise known as Tumor protein p73-like (p73L), is a widely expressed nuclear protein and homologue of tumor suppressor p53, which acts as a sequence-specific DNA binding transcriptional activator/repressor.
p63, vital for the development of the prostate and selectively expressed by normal prostate basal cells, has been shown to be a promising complementary basal cell specific marker to High Molecular Weight-Cytokeratin (HMW-CK), for the differential diagnosis of benign prostatic lesions and prostatic carcinoma.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunocytochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:ELISA: 1:100,000, suitable for use in indirect ELISA applicationsWestern Blot:1:1000, detects a band of ~75kD in mouse lung and human tumor cell line K562 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
