CD11a (also known as integrin alphaL or lymphocyte function-associated antigen (LFA)-1 alpha chain) complex with the Beta2 subunit of the integrin family, CD18, to form the cell surface heterdimer, LFA-1 or CD11a /C18 (alphaLBeta2).
LFA-1 is expressed on all leukocytes including lymphocytes, monocytes, and granulocytes.
It is involved in leukocyte adhesion to its ligands including intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1 or CD54), ICAM-2 (CD102), ICAM-3 (CD50) and Telencephalin (TLN) and play a role in most immune/inflammatory responses.
MAb DF1524 reacted with CD11a transfected cells and potently blocked LFA-1 dependent homotypic cell aggregation.
Applications:Suitable for use in Peptide ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks.
For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt.
Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Note: Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
