The protein encoded by this gene is a member of a family of RNA-binding proteins, has three RNA recognition motifs (RRMs), and binds adenine and uridine-rich elements in mRNA and pre-mRNAs of a wide range of genes.
It regulates various activities including translational control, splicing and apoptosis.
Alternate transcriptional splice variants, encoding different isoforms, have been characterized.
The different isoforms have been show to function differently with respect to post-transcriptional silencing.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1:500-1:1000Immunoprecipitation: 1:20-1:50Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
