This gene, through alternative splicing, encodes three different isoforms.
Two of the protein isoforms encoded by this gene are specific inhibitors of type 1 serine/threonine protein phosphatases and can bind but not cleave RNA.
The third protein isoform lacks the phosphatase inhibitory function but is a single-strand endoribonuclease comparable to RNase E of E.
coli.
This isoform requires magnesium for its function and cleaves specific sites in A+U-rich regions of RNA.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1:500-1:1000Immunoprecipitation: 1:20-1:50Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
