特徴
- This gene encodes a member of the peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR) subfamily of nuclear receptors.
- PPARs form heterodimers with retinoid X receptors (RXRs) and these heterodimers regulate transcription of various genes.
- Three subtypes of PPARs are known: PPAR-alpha, PPAR-delta, and PPAR-gamma.
- The protein encoded by this gene is PPAR-gamma and is a regulator of adipocyte differentiation.
- Additionally, PPAR-gamma has been implicated in the pathology of numerous diseases including obesity, diabetes, atherosclerosis and cancer.
- Alternatively spliced transcript variants that encode different isoforms have been described.
- Applications:Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence and Western Blot.
- Other applications not tested.
- Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1:500-1:2000Immunofluorescence: 1:50-1:200Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
- Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
- Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
- Store at -20°C.
- Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
- For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
