特徴
- This gene encodes an enzyme which catalyzes a key step in the biosynthesis of the coenzyme NAD.
- The encoded protein is one of several nicotinamide nucleotide adenylyltransferases.
- Studies in Drosophila and mammalian neurons have shown the encoded protein can confer protection to damaged neurons.
- This protection requires enzymatic activity which increases NAD levels and activates a nuclear deacetylase which is the protective molecule.
- Pseudogenes of this gene are located on chromosomes 1, 3, 4, 14 and 15.
- Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot.
- Other applications not tested.
- Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1:200-1:2000Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
- Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
- Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
- Store at -20°C.
- Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
- For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
